Easy and delicious breakfast rolls perfect for a quick morning meal.
Ingredients

- 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 3–1/4 to 3-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, butter, egg, and milk.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Punch down dough. Shape into rolls and place on a baking sheet.
- Let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
- For sweeter rolls, increase sugar to 1/2 cup.
- Brush with melted butter after baking for extra flavor.
