Description

Deconstructed California roll in a bowl. Enjoy the flavors of sushi without the rolling.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked sushi rice
  • 4 oz imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1/2 avocado, diced
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, diced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Nori seaweed, cut into strips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare sushi rice according to package directions.
  2. In a bowl, combine imitation crab, avocado, and cucumber.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and soy sauce.
  4. Add the dressing to the crab mixture and stir gently.
  5. Place the cooked sushi rice in a bowl.
  6. Top with the crab mixture.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of mayonnaise to your liking.
  • Add other toppings such as pickled ginger or wasabi.
