Description

Caprese Crostini Ghosts are a fun and festive appetizer for Halloween. They combine the classic Caprese flavors with a spooky twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Black olives, sliced (for ghost eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush baguette slices with olive oil and minced garlic.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  4. Top each crostini with a slice of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Arrange tomato halves on top of the mozzarella to resemble a ghost shape.
  6. Add sliced black olives for the ghost’s eyes.
  7. Bake for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh basil, salt, and pepper before serving.
