  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite keto-friendly toppings.
