- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve hot with your favorite keto-friendly toppings.
Notes
- Adjust spices to your preference.
- For a thicker chili, simmer uncovered for the last 15 minutes.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
