- ½ cup granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&Ms, plus more to top
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
- Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough and roll into balls.
- Place cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheet. Press M&Ms onto the top.
- Cover and freeze for at least an hour. If frozen overnight, let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before baking.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place cookie dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Store in an airtight container.
