- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 4 cups chopped lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup dill pickle slices, chopped
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- Optional: Bacon bits, avocado
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Season with salt and pepper. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and pickles.
- Add the cooked ground beef mixture to the bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup and mustard.
- Pour dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
- Serve immediately. Add bacon bits or avocado if desired.
Notes
- You can use any type of lettuce you prefer.
- Adjust the amount of dressing to your liking.
- For a spicier salad, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef.
