Description

This easy cheeseburger salad recipe gives you all the flavors of a cheeseburger without the bun. It’s quick, simple, and perfect for a light meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 4 cups chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle slices, chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • Optional: Bacon bits, avocado

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Season with salt and pepper. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  3. In a large bowl, combine lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and pickles.
  4. Add the cooked ground beef mixture to the bowl.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup and mustard.
  6. Pour dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
  7. Serve immediately. Add bacon bits or avocado if desired.

Notes

  • You can use any type of lettuce you prefer.
  • Adjust the amount of dressing to your liking.
  • For a spicier salad, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef.
