Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Hot sauce to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add shrimp and crab meat. Cook until shrimp is pink and crab is heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and hot sauce (if using).
  7. Serve hot.
