Classic Green Bean Casserole, a comforting and easy side dish.

- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/3 cups French fried onions, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 5 minutes; drain.
- In a bowl, mix green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and pepper. Stir in 2/3 cup French fried onions.
- Pour mixture into a baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until heated through. Top with remaining 2/3 cup French fried onions and bake for 5 more minutes.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
- Add a pinch of garlic powder for extra flavor.
- Canned green beans can be substituted for fresh.
