- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup neutral oil or melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, oil or melted butter, eggs, milk and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold everything together until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, saving a small handful to sprinkle on top.
- Divide the batter evenly between the muffin cups and bake for 18–20 minutes.
- Let them cool slightly before eating.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter for softer muffins.
- Add extra chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
