Description

Enjoy healthy and delicious Tilapia Fish Tacos with a fresh and vibrant slaw. This recipe is quick, easy, and perfect for a light meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Tilapia fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Optional toppings: avocado, salsa, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place Tilapia fillets on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. While the fish is baking, prepare the slaw by combining shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, and mayonnaise in a bowl. Mix well.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas.
  7. Flake the cooked Tilapia into smaller pieces.
  8. Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with flaked Tilapia and slaw.
  9. Add your favorite toppings, such as avocado, salsa, or hot sauce.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can grill or pan-fry the Tilapia instead of baking.
  • For a spicier slaw, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter slaw.
