This recipe creates a deliciously moist and flavorful banana bread.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients alternately with mashed bananas, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
- Do not overmix the batter.
- Cool completely before slicing to prevent the bread from crumbling.
