Description

Combine the best of both worlds with this Ultimate Philly Cheesesteak Mac and Cheese. Creamy, cheesy, and loaded with steak and peppers.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak, bell pepper, and onion. Cook until steak is browned and vegetables are tender.
  3. In a large pot, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted and smooth.
  4. Add cooked macaroni and steak mixture to the cheese sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can use any type of cheese you like.
  • Add mushrooms for extra flavor.
