Description

Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites are a simple and delicious appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a piece of prosciutto.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the wrapped mozzarella balls to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until the prosciutto is lightly browned and crispy.
  6. Remove from skillet and place on a serving platter.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use different types of cheese, such as provolone or fontina.
  • Add a toothpick to each bite for easier serving.
