Description

Crispy and flavorful smashed Brussels sprouts, a delicious side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: balsamic glaze, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and smash each Brussels sprout with the bottom of a glass or spatula.
  6. Return to oven and roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
  7. Top with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy Brussels sprouts, don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
  • Adjust roasting time based on your oven.
