Crispy and flavorful smashed Brussels sprouts, a delicious side dish.
Ingredients

- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional toppings: balsamic glaze, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and smash each Brussels sprout with the bottom of a glass or spatula.
- Return to oven and roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
- Top with desired toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy Brussels sprouts, don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
- Adjust roasting time based on your oven.
