Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sweet potatoes, maple syrup, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Pour sweet potato mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine pecans, brown sugar, and flour. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle pecan topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and casserole is heated through.
  7. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
