- 2 tablespoons butter

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine apples, water, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until apples are tender.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Serve warm or cold.
