- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
- Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cheddar cheese.
- Add buttermilk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For best results, use cold butter and buttermilk.
- Do not overmix the dough, or the biscuits will be tough.
