Description

Valentine Puppy Chow is a sweet and festive snack mix perfect for Valentine’s Day. You can make it with Chex cereal, candy melts, powdered sugar, and Valentine’s Day candies.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups Chex cereal, divided
  • 5 ounces white candy melts
  • 5 ounces pink candy melts
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 3/4 cup Valentine M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon imperial heart candies

Instructions

  1. Place 2 1/2 cups cereal in a bowl.
  2. Melt white candy melts in the microwave.
  3. Pour melted candy over cereal and stir.
  4. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt, stir.
  5. Spread on a baking sheet and cool for 30 minutes.
  6. Place remaining cereal in the same bowl.
  7. Melt pink candy melts in the microwave.
  8. Pour melted candy over cereal and stir.
  9. Add remaining powdered sugar and salt, stir.
  10. Spread on a separate baking sheet and cool for 30 minutes.
  11. Combine white and pink cereals in a bowl.
  12. Add M&Ms and heart candies, stir.

Notes

  • Puppy chow tastes best within 1 to 2 days.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
