Description

Make a delicious and comforting classic vegan apple pie.


Ingredients

  • 68 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 box (14.1 ounces) refrigerated vegan pie crusts
  • 2 tablespoons plant-based milk, for brushing
  • Turbinado sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Stir in vegan butter.
  4. Line a pie dish with one pie crust.
  5. Pour apple mixture into the crust.
  6. Top with the second pie crust. Crimp edges to seal. Cut slits in the top crust.
  7. Brush with plant-based milk and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
